Incommunicado for the last few months thanks to preparing for our annual ISO audit.
Doubly stressfull this year, because we were last year freshly certified to the Environmental Standard in addition to the Quality Standard; so this time, there were two days of audits instead of one.
Okay, alright, so last year we had auditors here for a week while we underwent the process of becoming certified to the Environmental Standard in the first place. Not the same kind of stress.
Back then, they understood we were learning it all on the fly. Now, we had to show we'd learned...
Fortunately, the auditor was extremely pleased with our progress. She said she would normally expect to find, on average, ten non-conformances after the first year; we had, in fact, only five.
And it is utterly uncanny how my menstrual cycle has managed to synch up with our audit dates for the last few years. Evidently, ISO has become part of my biological cycle.
