Devotionary Tactics

Still here... just not blogging as often.

The official statement has been made:

Employees may not blog at work.

(It is also verboden to bring into the building PDAs or cameras or digital cell phones which contain cameras or any sort of device via which data may be stolen. Security measures, you see.)

At work, blogging is a relaxing diversion. For those few minutes, I can devote my brainpower (such as it is) to thinking on behalf of myself; and it is so pleasant to feel my mind is my own. Insignificant as my intelligence is, I still can't help but feel that you can't really pay me enough to justify having a controlling interest in my cogitation for forty hours a week.

That being said... blogging at home is not a relaxing diversion. There are dishes to be washed, litterboxes to be cleaned, clothes to be laundered, rooms to be tidied, meals to be prepared, errands to be run... and then there are all those cats who need scritching and cuddling. Blogging seems like it's taking time away from me, and taking me away from those to whom I am devoted.

Guess I'll have to start actually writing things down. Like, with a pen.
